The comforting sound of a magpie warbling in the garden. The heart-swelling joy of a bear hug from my daughter. The invigorating feeling of cold, crisp air on my skin. Precious, tiny moments that compel me to stop and notice. Those are glimmers.
I’m a journalist and presenter based in South Australia, and I’ve spent almost two decades telling people’s stories. I am endlessly curious about what shapes us, challenges us, connects us and helps us through our most difficult times.
Collecting Glimmers grew out of a challenging period in my own life, which gave me a newfound appreciation for the small moments of joy that brighten our everyday lives.

A glimmer, to me, presents itself with a little bit of work. I often hear them, and I need to listen closely to find that little layer of sound I wasn’t expecting.
I call myself a cultural cartographer, and I love navigating how communities and ecosystems express their identity and complexity. I’m completing a PhD at the University of Technology Sydney where I lead the "Purpose Topography Project", and I’m proud of being an award-winning leader and educator.
I like to say that I travel in the direction of the questions I ask, and I use great questions to produce podcasts, and conference immersions for the Australian Council for Educational Leaders.
